Address and Telephone Update

Your directory information may be updated online via MyPack Portal. This includes your address, phone number, and privacy block information. To ensure accurate correspondence between the university and yourself, please update your directory information on MyPack Portal prior to the beginning of the semester.

Viewing & Modifying Your Schedule

Your 2008 Fall Semester course schedule is available online via MyPack Portal. Please review your schedule to ensure you are enrolled for the correct courses. If you do not plan to attend NC State University this semester, you must drop all of your courses prior to the first day of the semester (August 20, 2008) in order to avoid further financial and academic obligations.

If you need to modify your schedule, you may do so using MyPack Portal. Please refer to the University Cashier's website for information about schedule modification and tuition calculation.

You will need your PIN to modify your schedule. If you have lost your PIN, you may obtain it by using the PIN Lookup feature in MyPack Portal. However, the PIN Lookup feature is not available for incoming students until after the start of the semester. Those students should contact their adviser to retrieve their PIN prior to August 20th.

If you have trouble accessing MyPack Portal or have forgotten your Unity ID and password, please contact the Information Technology Division Help Desk at (919) 515-HELP (4357).

Waitlists & New Course Sections

Waitlists for the 2008 Fall Semester courses have been dropped. If you previously waitlisted a course, please check your schedule to see if you were placed into the course or if you will need to make other arrangements.

NC State has added many new course sections since the start of enrollment. You may search for open course sections using the search feature found in the MyPack Portal Enrollment menu or by using the Real Time Open Section Inquiry.

Remember, the last day to add a course without instructor permission is August 26th.

Verification of Enrollment

You may obtain a Verification of Enrollment for insurance or loan purposes via MyPack Portal 15 days after the start of the semester. If you need something before this time, please visit our office in 1000 Harris Hall. We would be happy to assist you.

FERPA and Privacy

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) gives students certain rights to privacy and rights of access to their educational records. The university defines certain directory information to be publicly accessible unless you have a privacy block on your records. Privacy blocks can be created through MyPack Portal using the Privacy Settings feature under Personal Info.
