The 18 hours of concentration shall be used to meet the STS requirement and to complete the coursework for one of the University minors listed below. Students are encouraged but not required to officially complete the minor by submitting an application to the sponsoring department. The list of acceptable electives in the Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management minor is restricted. If any course of any minor is also required in the major, the course may not be double-counted. In this situation or when the minor requires fewer than 18 hours, the remaining hours shall be used to elect courses that fulfill prerequisite requirements in the minor or that enhance the student's career preparation. All substitute courses must be approved by the Forestry Undergraduate Program Director.

Economics requires EC 336 and 12 hours of additional course work from the Economics Minor
Entomology requires ENG 201, ZO 150, and 12 additional hours of course work from the Entomology Minor
Horticulture Science requires HS 201 and 12 additional hours of course work from the Horticulture Science Minor
Soil Science requires SSC 361 and 12 additional hours from the Soil Science Minor
Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management requires IDS 201 , IDS 303, or LAR 445; PRT 152; PRT 358; and 3 of the following 4 courses from the PRTM Minor: PRT 250, 350, 442, and 462
