Moving and Waiving Courses in SIS
Navigation: SIS > Academic Advising > Degree Audit
Enter the student's ID and career in the appropriate fields and click "Search."

From this screen, clicking on "View" will take you to the Degree Audit. Once the Degree Audit loads, you will be able to move and waive courses.
Moving a Course
One of the most common actions is moving a course from the "Non-Degree Courses" category to fulfilling a specific degree requirement. This student currently has MEA 300 in the Non-degree category. In order to move this course, simply click "Move."

Now, simply scroll to the requirement where the course should be moved, and click "Here."
You'll be prompted to enter a comment justifying your decision to move the course. Add your comment, and click "Save." Please note that these comments are visible to the student.
The course has been sucessfully moved to the new category.

You can remove a manual move by clicking on the "Approved Exception" link below the course and then selecting "Delete."
Note: You can move a course to fulfill a requirement that has already been satisfied by another course. The other course will be forced out by the move and will sort to the next best option on the degree audit.
Waiving A Course
When you need to waive a requirement, or part of a requirement, simply find the course that needs to be waived, and click the "Waive" link beside it. Below, you can see that this student has already taken three hours of SSC 200, and needs the other one hour waived.

You'll be prompted to enter a comment justifying your decision waive the requirement. Add your comment, and click "Save." Please note that these comments are visible to the student.

After you save your comment, you will be returned to the degree audit. The requirement you have waived will be marked with a link, which will display your comment when clicked.
