Forest Restoration and Fuels Project Crews

Purpose:   To improve forest health and support habitat restoration on public lands and support forest regeneration, restoration, rehabilitation, insect and disease control, forest development, implementation of stewardship projects and providing for biomass utilization on public lands.

NIH Basic Behavioral and Social Science Opportunity Network (OppNet) Short-term Mentored Career Development Awards in the Basic Behavioral and Social Sciences for Mid-career and Senior Investigators (K18)

Purpose:  To support two categories of candidates: (a) biomedical or clinical researchers with little experience in basic behavioral and social sciences research who seek training with a well established b-BSSR investigator in order to explore the introduction of b-BSSR into their research programs; and (b) investigators in the basic or applied behavioral and social sciences who wish to build new components or domains of basic-BSSR into their research programs.

Budget:  Up to $2 million; 10-20 awards anticipated; duration three months to one year.

Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences - IceBridge: Support for 2010 Activities

Purpose:  To support activities making altimetry, radar and other geophysical measurements to monitor and characterize the Earth’s cryosphere, including the Greenland Ice Sheet (GIS), operations over Arctic sea ice, a limited program in Antarctica, and work in East Antarctica over dynamic areas of the ice sheet and proposals for systematic monitoring of Alaskan glaciers.

Budget:  Approximately $2.5M in total for the first year; $2.3M for Element 2.1; 0.2M for Element 2.2
