National Science Foundation (NSF)
Science Master's Program

Purpose:  The program prepares graduate students for careers in industry, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies by providing them a strong foundation in STEM disciplines and research experiences, internship experiences and skills to succeed in STEM careers.

Limited submission status:  One lead proposal per institution.  One letter of intent per institution.  The NC State response to this program will be coordinated with the Graduate School.  Contact Assistant Dean Dr. Lisbeth Borbye of the Graduate School at lborbye@ncsu.edu with a copy to carol_ashcraft@ncsu.edu.

Eligibility:  The principal investigator must be a STEM faculty member.

Budget:  Up to $700,000 for three years.

NSF letter of intent due date:  October 5

NSF proposal due:  5:00 p.m. November 20
