Response of Midrotation Loblolly and Slash Pine Plantations to Vegetation Control and Fertilization.
College of Forestry
Recent results suggest that growth of southern pine stands may be limited by nutrients other than N and P, such as potassium (K), manganese (Mn), and boron (B). Additionally, southern pines have exhibited positive growth responses to both woody and herbaceous competing vegetation during the first few years following planting.
