  ThinkQuest provides an opportunity for students and educators to work collaboratively in teams to learn as they create materials and teach others. The following competitions are available.

• Intel Science Talent Search-Grade 12

  This competition's purpose is to encourage high school seniors to pursue careers in science, math, engineering and medicine.

• Siemens Westinghouse Science and Technology Award Grades 9-12

  This competition gives students the opportunity to achieve national recognition for independent science research projects they complete in high school.
• National Science Bowl-Grades 9-12
  http://www.energy.gov/sciencebowl/
  The Department of Energy sponsors this competition which is an academic competition among teams of high school students who answer questions on topics in astronomy, biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, earth, computer and general science. The teams are comprised of five students and a teacher who serves as an advisor and coach.

  This competition, sponsored by Canon, works to "develop knowledgeable, skilled and dedicated citizens who are willing to work towards achieving and maintaining a natural balance between the quality of life and the quality of the environment."
• Craftsman/NSTA Young Inventors Awards-Grades 2-8

  This competition challenges students to use creativity and imagination along with science,technology, and mechanical ability to invent or modify a tool.
