Some cameras use 3.5 inch diskettes as a form of flexible, removable media to store images. This type of media is readily available. When the image is taken, the information is immediately compressed and stored on the diskette. When the diskette is full, you can remove the diskette, label and store it, and insert another diskette to continue shooting images.
