You can transfer the images from the smart media card to a computer via;

1) the camera through a cable and software which comes with the camera.

2) a smart media card adapter which can then be placed in a laptop's PCMIA slot (the card functions like another hard drive).

3) a smart media card adapter the size of a 3.5 inch diskette (driver software is required).

4) a smart media card reader attached to a desktop computer (driver software is required).

Can store hundreds of pictures on a single card, depending on memory size (4MB-64MB).

Since it is removable, when one card reaches capacity, it can be replaced with another.

It is a good storage medium to store megapixel images due to its large capacity.
