Ann's Homepage
Welcome
to my homepage. As you can guess, I am a student at North Carolina State
University. Click on the Wolf picture to link to the NCSU homepage, and
find more information out about the Wolfpack. (Don't expect to hear any
good news about upcoming bowl games).
F.Y.I.
A little information about myself. I am currently a senior in the area
of Secondary (high school) Science. I just recently finished my student
teaching semester at Leesville
High School in Raleigh. The students there are the best.
My area of specialization is Biology. For any one out there who is
also interested in biology or just science in general, you need to check
out Bill Nye The Science Guy. He
is the best. All students love him, especially my high school ones!
As Bill would say, "SCIENCE
RULES!"
Other interests that I have include a love for all water animals (especially
turtles). I love the zoo, aquarium, and especially SEA WORLD. If you, too,
share this interest, you might want to check out the Sea World link. They
have a lot of great resources and information for both students and teachers.
Just click on the dolphins to go there.

For all those first year or beginning teachers out there, you might
want to check out the Busy
Teacher homepage. It gives you ideas for lesson plans, activities,
etc.
Another good resource to use in the classroom if you have internet
access is a link called the Virtual
Cell. Here students can take a jurney into the organelles of a cell,
and picture what the inside of a cell looks like. This is an especially
good idea for any students that need some visual or hands on learning.
I used it during a photosynthesis unit to help students see where various
processes were taking place.
