The WhaleNet website focus is on whales and marine research. WhaleNet's goal is to foster excitement about learning and the environment.

WhaleNet is an interactive educational project sponsored by Wheelock College in Boston, Massachusetts with support from the National Science Foundation, Simmons College, and technical assistance from MuseNet--the Multi-user Science Education Network.

Athena, Earth and Space Science for K-12

Athena contains excellent K-12 science curricular resources for the topic areas of space, weather, earth, and oceans. Athena is a three year collaboration between Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) in the state of Washington, and the local school districts of Seattle, Bellevue, Northshore, and Lake Washington. NASA funds Athena as part of its Public Use Of Remote Sensing Data project.
