INTRODUCTION
I taught a unit on Motion which included speed, velocity, acceleration, and Newton's Laws.
These are a pictures of my students doing a Velocity Lab using TI-83 calculators. The students lauched toy cars down a track where a probe was set up to measure the velocity of the cars. The students moved the probe to different locations on the track to get reading at different distances from start. Then they graphed distance vs. velocity.

Next, we looked at postive and negative acceleration. I set up a demonstration to show the speed of a toy car going downhill (positive accleration) and going uphill (negative acceleration). Once again I used the TI-83 to calculate the speed of the car.
