I am a student at North Carolina State University. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology with a Pre-Med concentration in May 1995. I am currently working on a Bachelor of Science degree in Science Education with a concentration in Biology.

This semester I have been student teaching at Millbrook High School. I taught Anatomy and Physiology to a mixture of sophomores, juniors, and seniors. During this experience, I found the internet to be an extrememly helpful resource. I used AccessExcellence to locate lesson plans and ideas for my classroom. One tip for future student teachers is to make use of ALL the resources you have available to you!

Throughout the semester we were required to post to a science forum. This is found on the IMSENET home page. There are different areas for posting but I found the Pre-Service teacher section the most helpful. It is really helpful for keeping in touch with other student teachers and also gives you the opportunity to give and receive ideas from those who are going through the same experiences. IMSENET is a very helpful site!! Here you can also find all types of resources for teachers.

As a science teacher, one of my favorite resources for videos is NOVA. I watched "The Miracle of Life" in a genetics class years ago and I absolutely loved it! If you would like to find out more about NOVA, just click on the link!

These are only a few resources available to science teachers. There is A LOT out there so keep looking!!!

A few of my hobbies include playing soccer and listening to muscic. I also enjoy watching movies and hanging out with friends.
