Our Speakers . . .

Stacy
Nelson is originally from Jackson, Mississippi where he obtained a
B.S. in biology from Jackson State University. Stacy completed a masters
degree from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS), the College
of William and Marys school of marine science. His Ph.D. was recently
completed at Michigan State University. Stacy has employed the use of
remote sensing and GIS to explore both land use change in coastal estuarine
and wetland systems, as well as various water quality applications. Dr.
Nelson has recently join the faculty at North Carolina State University
within their Department of Forestry and the Center for Earth Observation.
