To get an idea of how this distance learning experience can work for you and your class, check out our archived GIS Live event. This may take time to load so please be patient.

You have a choice of places to find us on November 19th. These places can be found by commuting, taking an actual field trip to a 2-way videoconferencing site, or by computing, taking an electronic field trip via the Web.


Two-Way Videoconferencing -- Opt for live, interactive sessions held at sites that can accommodate two-way videoconferencing compatible with our Videoconferencing Center at NCDPI. Educators in North Carolina can participate at NC Information Highway sites that are available. Contact Cris at (919) 807-3582 or email ccrissma@dpi.state.nc.us if you are interested.

Webcasts -- You can participate from your computer from any place on earth. See our section on webcasts, to learn about the free tool that you will need for our webcast (REAL One Player) and how you can interact.

Video-On-Demand -- Every sessions will be archived so you can access them any time for student enrichment or professional development for teachers
