Post - Activities

Level 1: GIS Newbie -- What in the world is GIS?

Activity 1: Now that you have experienced GIS Day, see what other countries are doing for GIS Day.

Activity 2: Treasure Hunt— Now, let's try using some GIS software to correctly guess continents and complete a series of clues and puzzles along the way. The clues and puzzles include counting, matching, and logical questions.

This is a self-extracting zip file that contains the setup for the Treasure Hunt program. To install the program, run the TreasureHuntInstall.exe program, then run the seteup.exe program that is extracted.

Activity 3: Want to see how "a-mazing" GIS can be? Try out Corn Maze Geography and use corn and corn mazes to learn about mapping, landforms, measurement, soils, human impacts on the environment, and more.
