Read about technology projects at Ligon GT Middle School
that include an elective called Satellites, Computers, and Mapping. In this elective students use spatial modeling to explore the environment using GIS.

Learn about this high school project that uses GIS to integrate geography into biology curriculum as well as other science areas

GIS as a Tool in Interdisciplinary Environmental

Activity 2: Research GIS LIVE Sessions
Do research on Web. Learn about the topic and how GIS is being used. Formulate some problem questions: such as How do police use GIS to stop crime? Make a list of possible questions.

Activity 3: GIS LIVE in Your Neighborhood
Students preview project descriptions and brainstorm how they think GIS is LIVE in their neighborhood.
