Description:

How does the environment affect your health? The Health and Spatial Analysis Unit uses Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other software to describe and analyze the spatial and temporal relationships that exist among diseases, mortality, births, environments, and population characteristics within a public health context.

Learn how GIS provides a common analytical framework in which public health authorities can understand problems and formulate a response, improving incident management and health planning.
