The daily newspaper, Technician, has up to 10, $1,000 grants available annually to students with fewer than 36 college course hours. Technician awards a grant to incoming freshmen and full-time students who have completed fewer than 36 credit hours and who want to be a part of N.C. State’s student newspaper. Students who will be considered should plan on holding a leadership role with the newspaper in the near future and must have continuous service on staff to continue receiving the grant.

N.C. State Student Media announces the availability of two temporary journalist in residence positions to provide professional training, coaching and guidance for Technician and the Nubian Message with a focus on the fundamentals of newspaper writing, reporting, editing, design, photography and media ethics. Apply online by Friday, Aug. 3 via jobs.ncsu.edu.

N.C. State Student Media supports public access to local, state and federal government records. As we hold ourselves to the same standard, you can now find our 2011-2012 annual report online. You can also search this site for past year’s reports and minutes to all our Student Media Board meetings. The annual report highlights N.C. State Student Media’s programs, initiatives and staff accomplishments while making recommendations for the future.

Distribution of the 2012 Agromeck yearbook continues with additional events scheduled during final exams. Graduating seniors and others pictured in the book can pick up a copy on a first-come, first-served basis from the Student Media offices in Witherspoon 307 or at one of five distribution events.
