As the internet continues to grow, so do the opportunities to leave your mark, connecting with millions of users. The latest craze is "social networking" sites such as Facebook.com and myspace.com. While these are fun and interesting ways to get out into cyberspace, they are also a means for others to find and possibly exploit you and your personal information.
In this day and age it is essential that anyone who uses the internet understand the risks, while enjoying the rewards. As an NC State student, that involves knowing and understanding the Computer and Network Use Rules and Regulations. You are responsible for your actions, whether or not you have read these guidelines, so if you're in doubt, check them out!
If you have any questions about policy or general computer use, please contact the NC State Help Desk by phone at (919)515-HELP (4357), by email at help@ncsu.edu, or online at http://help.ncsu.edu.
