Windows 7 Information
Windows 7 Enterprise has been released and is now available to those customers who have Software Assurance for Windows. For those who purchased Windows under NC State's Microsoft Select Agreement and included Software Assurance, please send your upgrade request to software@ncsu.edu. Please be sure to provide a copy of your invoice to validate your Windows with Software Assurance purchase.
If your college or department is a partner in NC State's Microsoft Windows Campus Agreement, you are entitled to the upgrade. The licensing representative of each of the following Windows Campus Agreement partners has already been notified how to obtain the Windows 7 upgrade.
- Center for Earth Observation
- College of Design
- Electrical and Computing Engineering
- Libraries
- Office of Information Technology
- Physical and Mathematical Sciences
The Campus bookstore will be selling Windows 7 Pro upgrades sometime in mid November. The price will be $39.99. They will have both the 32-bit and 64-bit version available. This upgrade is for anyone who is not covered by one of the above agreements or purchased a Windows machine before June 26th. For anyone that purchased a Windows machine this year with a sales receipt dated after June 26th, he/she can go the the manufacturer's website and obtain a less expensive upgrade (free or cost of media shipping).
