Welcome!
The formation of this committee was based on the growing recognition of the importance of effective and ongoing communication among compliance programs here at NC State University. At our first meeting on February 19, 2007.
Our Missions:
- Cross compliance program awareness, understanding and training Institutional Review Board [IRB] knows what Institutional Biosafety Committee [IBC] does and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee [IACUC] knows what Conflicts of Interest and Commitment [COI] does, and so on)
- Synthesis, improvement and standardization of current training programs, development of missing training programs and deployment of a meaningful program of awareness and training the effects of which can be measured through pre-established metrics identified by the committee.
- Oversight of system-development Information Technology [IT] for optimal cross-system integration.
- Perpetual self-assessment of the global program and development of audit and review plans for execution by either internal or external auditors/reviewers such as the non-binding friendly audits offered by the OIG and NIH or engagement of internal audit to review our records from time to time to provide independent assessment.
- Make recommendations to the appropriate executive officers, with support and buy-in from other compliance officials in the chain of command.
