The standard review process: In most cases, copies of the internal preproposals are submitted electronically to the internal reviewers, who then rank the preproposals according to the review criteria for a specific program. The reviewers email or fax their evaluations, generally within five working days, but reviews with large numbers of preproposals may require more than a week before the results are announced.
Notification of results: Once the review panel's recommendations are reported, the results are provided to the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies for consideration. When the response is received, the selected team(s) or individual(s) is identified and the results announced to all those who submitted preproposals. After everyone has been informed of the review results, the selected teams are identified on the same webpage where the internal review requirements were posted.
