I also think having a mix of people (e.g. colleges, PI's, admin units) helps to balance out the discussion and bring issues to the attention of the group, and try to resolve them. If you could try to ensure someone from each college is there, it would be perfect. Great job!!!

Debbie Hunt was GREAT!  The meeting room was very comfortable - love the extra leg room for us tall people and the dining facility and food was great!  I throughly enjoyed it more this year than I did last year.

Although this was an opportunity for research administration staff to share the great strides made in the past year, one day would be preferable for faculty.  The retreat was well organized and provided for good mixing. The entire team has my grateful thanks.

A salad bar option for one or both lunches would be great.  No fruit, cereal or other healthy breakfast alternatives were provided.  No brewed decaf was available; hot water was not hot; regular coffee was very weak.  Service was good, though.  Putting some kind of markers around the NC Seal would help people remember not to walk on it.  (Traffic cones? No, just kidding!)
