Lobbied for continuation of Awards for Excellence and State Memorial programs
Lobbied for monetary funds to facilitate NCSU becoming the country's lead university in the Biotechnology field
NC State Family Scholarship Endowment-

Spearheaded efforts to obtain endowment and have it listed on the State Employees Combined Campaign Listing and NC State Annual Fund - (with assistance from the offices of University Development and Advancement)
