Assumption of Risk

Participation in Campus Recreation activities at NC State University involves potential risk of physical injury. By engaging in recreational activities, the participant assumes the risk of bodily injury and agrees to release the university, its officers, employees and agents from all liability for injuries sustained by the participant. Persons participating in recreational activities at NC State University are strongly recommended to acquire their own personal health insurance since the university does not carry health or accident insurance to cover injuries and medical care for these individuals. In addition, it is strongly encouraged that participants consult with their physician before assuming any physical activity and to reduce the potential for injury by stretching adequately before and after any activity.

Registration Information:

Registration opens: Monday, Oct. 25 @ 9:00am

Registration closes: Monday, Nov. 1 @ 5:00pm

Manager Meeting Information:

Wednesday, November 3 @ 6:00pm in the CRC Playzone. All teams must have a representative at the meeting.

Who can play Intramural 3-on-3 Basketball?

Current regularly-enrolled undergraduate or graduate students with a valid NC State All Campus Card
NC State Faculty and Staff with a valid Carmichael Gym membership

Who can NOT play Intramural 3-on-3 Basketball?

Current Scholarship basketball players or anyone listed on the ahtletic roster provided by NC State
Faculty/Staff members wihout a valid Carmichael Gym membership
Household members

What type of tournament is played?

All leagues will play in a pool-play round followed by a single-elimination tournament
The following leagues will be offered for the 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament: Men's Open and Women's Open

What is the Campus ID Card policy for 3-on-3 Basketball?

Each player must present his or her respective All Campus Card to the score keeper prior to participation. Participants without an All Campus Card will not be allowed to participate in the tournament, with no exceptions
Any player trying to play under an assumed name will forfeit their team's spot in the tournament and the team captain will be subject to paying the forfeit charge of $25.
