NC State University Recreation hosts the 4th annual National Collegiate Golf Championship (NCGC) Local Qualifier Tournament at Lonnie Poole Golf Course on the NC State Centennial Campus. This event features two divisions of play for competitive and recreational golfers from colleges and universities across North Carolina and the Southeast.
A 2-person scramble event for recreational competitive golfers (non-NCAA rostered), the NCGC allows golfers the opportunity to compete for their university to see who will be the 2011 champion. Winning teams from Local Qualifiers advance to the 10th Annual National Collegiate Golf Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada November 11-13, 2011.

Lonnie Poole Golf Course is the course to play with your friends and colleagues whether it is to enhance your skills at a clinic, or during structured tour play in a variety of formats (stroke play, match play, scramble, etc.). Pick which event dates that you are available to play.

The final results of the Fall 2009 Golf Tour are in!
Coming in first was Seth Spiegel with a total of 235 points. He placed exceptionally well in Best Ball and Alternate Shot Play formats. Spiegel was also the only golfer to participate, rain or shine, in every event. Good job Seth!
The second runner-up of the Fall Tour was Marianne White with a total of 220 points, as she was closely followed by William Trogdon with a total of 215 points. Marianne scored consistently and had one of the highest averages in every stroke, and won the Skins Play format event. William’s best events were Stroke Play and Skins Play formats.
A total of 20 golfers attended this new program throughout the Fall by participating in one or more events. Some of the top competitors following Seth Spiegel, Marianne White, and William Trogdon were as follows: Derek Allard, Keith Boswell, Doug Wegman, Stanton McDuffie, and Jeffrey Moan. Each Wednesday event featured a different play format including Stroke Play, Best Ball, Alternate Shot Play, Skins Play, and Modified Stableford, making up a total of 5 events that were played to complete the Tour.
