The Counseling Center is located on the Second Floor of the Student Health Center.

Office Hours:

Offices are open 8:00am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Offices are open year-round except NCSU holidays.

Eligibility:

Services at the Counseling Center are available to all currently enrolled students at North Carolina State University. Most services are available at no additional cost to the student.

Appointments:

We prefer students to come to the Counseling Center to initiate services. Brief paperwork will help us determine what type of appointment to set up for you. For students who are currently out of the area and unable to come by the Counseling Center, you can call 919-515-2423. PLEASE NOTE: If you schedule an appointment at the Counseling Center but cannot keep it, you must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $15 charge ($25 for ARPs). Urgent Care (Walk-In):

Urgent Care Walk-in services are available from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each weekday except for Wednesdays where services are available 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Walk-In services may require a wait depending on the number of students requesting services. Walk-In appointments are typically used as a brief screening to determine appropriate follow-up and is not a full appointment.

After-Hours Emergency Service (On-Call):

Emergency service is available continuously, 24 hours/day, 365 days/year. When the Counseling Center is closed, contact Public Safety at 515-3333. Inform the Switchboard that you would like to speak to the Counselor On-Call. The Counselor On-Call will call you back.
