After-Hours Emergency Service (On-Call):

Emergency service is available continuously, 24 hours/day, 365 days/year. When the Counseling Center is closed, contact Public Safety at 515-3333. Inform the Switchboard that you would like to speak to the Counselor On-Call. The Counselor On-Call will call you back.

Urgent Care (Walk-In):

Urgent Care Walk-in services are available:

9:00 am to 4:00 pm weekdays

except 11:00 am – 4:00 pm on Wednesdays.

Most persons seeking to meet with a counselor for personal, academic, or career issues will be scheduled in an available appointment. However, we do have clinicians available to see students on an emergency basis. If your present situation is an emergency or if you feel you need to be seen urgently, we will be able to work you into our Urgent Care Walk-in Service.

Please review the following information so can be informed about the process:

• You will be seen by one of our walk-in counselors as soon as possible.

• Students are usually seen in order of arrival though counselors may need to make occasional exceptions.

• Since different situations require varying lengths of time, the office staff can only tell you hoe many students are ahead of you - not how long it will be take to be seen.

• There are times when urgent care traffic is lighter than other times. The office staff can advise you on these possibilities.

• Be advised that when being seen through our urgent care walk-in service, your counselor will be able to meet with you briefly and develop an initial plan for support but you will likely need to return for a full appointment.

• If you do need to leave before being seen, please be sure to check out with the office staff before doing so.
