The state of NC does not include sexual orientation OR gender identity
as protected classes.

Programs & Services

Established in the Fall of 2007, the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Center provides educational programming for students, faculty, and staff regarding GLBT concerns in the NC State community.  In addition to providing educational programming, our center strives to create a more welcoming and inclusive climate here on NC State's campus.  This is done through our Everyone Welcome Here series, a mentoring program, Project SAFE ally training, a Speakers Bureau program, and our Coffee Talks weekly discussion group to name a few.

Our programs and services are available to all members of the NC State community regardless of sexual orientation, and gender identity. Additionally, we aim to facilitate cross-cultural dialogue in an effort to break down the barriers that are responsible for discrimination.
