Reporting a Violation

Academic Misconduct

If you are a student and you are aware of or witness an act of academic misconduct, report that to the instructor or the teaching assistant for the course. If the instructor is unavailable or if you have other questions, please contact staff in the Office of Student Conduct at 515-2963, or e-mail us using the link below.

If you are a faculty member or teaching assistant, you should meet with the student in question (see "How to confront a student") and then use the
Report of an Academic Integrity Violation Report Form [PDF] and forward the completed form to the Office of Student Conduct.

Non-Academic Misconduct

If you live in a residence hall and are aware of a violation in that setting, notify your hall staff. Resident Advisors, Resident Directors, and Residence life Coordinators are available to assist you.

If you are not in a residence hall, or if it is a serious violation that needs immediate attention, or if your hall staff are unavailable, contact Public Safety at 515-3000. Emergencies should always be reported to Public Safety at 515-3333.
