Jennifer joined the NCSU Women's Center in June of 2010 and is excited be a part of the Wolfpack family. Jennifer received her Bachelor's of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and MS in Administrative Leadership (Adult and Continuing Education) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Having served as an AmeriCorps member at El Pueblo in 2001-2002, Jennifer is excited to return to the Raleigh area with her husband and daughter and to work with and serve the NCSU community.

Carolina Alzuru joined the Women’s Center in April 2010. Prior to coming to the Women’s Center, she worked at the Orange County Rape Crisis Center as the Latina/o Services Coordinator. She also worked previously in a shelter for victims of domestic and sexual violence. Additionally, she serves as the Chair of the North Carolina Reproductive Justice Coalition. Originally from Venezuela, Carolina moved to Athens, GA in 1993 and has lived in NC since 2002. She has a B.A. in sociology and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Carolina is excited about working with students and bringing her passion for ending sexual violence to NCSU.

Originally from California, Lois and her family moved to her husband's home town of Raleigh in 1989. She began working at NC State in 1991 and found her way to the Women's Center in October of 2002. When she isn't working, Lois takes classes and.when time permits, enjoys cooking and various crafts. Her favorite topic of conversation is her granddaughter. She is affectionately called the Women's Center mom.

May is a junior in English and ESL. She is originally from Hickory, NC, but loves the Triangle area and wouldn't give it up for the world. She plans to be an educator and hopes to do some traveling after graduation. She would love to be involved in a program such as AmeriCorps, the Peace Corps, or Teach for America. She wants to teach English to a variety of students, particularly those whom are disadvantaged or from low-income backgrounds. She loves The Movement for everything it represents and achieves! Her other interests include film, art, politics, literature, religion, vintage shopping, backpacking, community service, DJing, ice skating, and Anderson Cooper (Silver Fox).

Originally from Greensboro, NC, Whittley is a first year student at NC State. She hasn't declared a major yet, but already knows she wants to minor in sports science. She loves children and aspires to be a pediatrician or physical therapist. She is a huge NCAA basketball fan and also enjoys photography, graphic design and shoes! She enjoys helping others and serving those less fortunate.

Shay is from Fayetteville, NC and is a first year student at NC State majoring in Zoology. She enjoys people and always has a smile. She is excited to be in the Women's Center and is looking forward to participating in every program her schedule allows.

Skye is majoring in Social Work with a minor in Political Science. She is originally from England, and has lived in NC for 15 years. She is very close to her 3 younger sisters and her younger brother and believes family is the most important aspect of her life. She is part of The Movement and is the Sexual Assault Month Coordinator this year. She hopes to work more with sexual & relationship violence in her time here. She spends most of her spare time working at Rum Runners in Downtown Raleigh. After graduation, Skye plans to attend graduate school and work further with women's issues.

Ramey is a junior in biomedical engineering with a concentration in biomaterials. She hopes to eventually work in tissue engineering. She is from a small town and coming to college at NC State was a huge change that she loves. She has become very involved on campus through her sorority, service organizations, and withThe Movement. Her goal in life is to touch lives and make the world a better place. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active.
