Information for Faculty/Staff
As Faculty and Staff are in a unique postion to help students in distress. During the process of your teaching or advising, you may encounter students who are experiencing learning problems, psychological problems or showings signs of distress. Many students may view you as a compassionate and respectful listener and seek you out for assistance with a crisis situation or simple adjustment difficulties.

Information on these pages is designed to assist you in knowing what services the Counseling Center Offers and in making decisions about when to assist these students and when to make a referral to the Counseling Center for counseling or for supportive services.
