I need to consider a Withdrawal. How can the Counseling Center help?
  1. A Semester Withdrawal will withdraw a student from ALL courses in a current or previous semester. All withdrawals for degree students are initiated through the NCSU Counseling Center.
    • For withdrawal requests before the last day of the official drop period in a given semester, students may walk in to the Counseling Center during regular walk-in hours. These are Weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. except Wednesday, when the hours are 11 am to 4 pm.
    • A late (current semester after the last day of the official drop period) or retroactive (prior semester) withdrawal permits a student to drop all of the courses that he/she is registered for after the last day to officially drop in a given semester. This process requires the student to consult with a counselor in more depth and typically requires the student to schedule an appointment.
