1. Welcome/Housekeeping

  • Members Present- Eddie Lovett, Peggy Domingue, Lois Crowe, Jack Fuller, Jimmy Ledbetter, Sandy Jones, Allison Medlin, Jason Petters, Richard Tyler, Laura Munsterteiger
  • Members absent - Leslie Dare, John Williams, Jennifer Bell, Nicki Jenkins, Lisa Miles
  • Welcome Laura Munsterteiger (Campus Recreation)
  • Goodbye to Gay Perez (now at UNC) and Martha Compton (University of Texas)

2. Technology Checklist (ETF)

  • Leslie and Eddie worked with the Women's Center to complete the checklist as a pilot. (Pilot meeting with Student Health rescheduled due to weather.) As a result, several changes made to streamline the form and process. Some immediate troubleshooting was easy to do right after the meeting.
  • DETAG members encouraged to come to the meetings.

3. Other Updates

  • Clean Your Computer Day coming up, to be sponsored by DETAG. Leslie will coordinate material. Timing to be prior to ETSS billing. Intended to be low-pressure on LANTechs (individual users should be able to easily follow the directions). Will be for inside and outside the computer.
  • Facebook program should be well attended; over 100 registered. Please help spread the word.
  • SlimStat is up and running. This is software that tracks web traffic. Tested on Career Center and Division website. Other departments can use this as well. More coming later.

4. Subcommittees

  • WebCT Vista - Next topic to be determined by February 1, with a launch of February 26. Possibly "how to podcast" will be added to the list for consideration.
  • Newsletter - Please send upcoming events to Lois ASAP so that the newsletter can go out by February 12.
  • Training - Excel program will be great; Jason continuing to work with Twanda. Lisa and Jennifer working with Library for wikis and blogs contact. Powerpoint may be next.
  • Podcasting - Next podcast is by Alex Miller on Arts, should be up soon. Possible podcast on Leadershape in early summer. An overall calendar was developed with general dates set for events.
