1. Update on incident volume
Notifications of violations comes in waves, with no rhyme or reason. Resnet notices number about 3,860 since 2002. Non-Resnet notices number 720 sine 2002, and virtually all were for students (about 50 faculty/staff). 260 notices in September, 2007 alone.
Much discussion to help non-OIT folks understand the full process.
2. Data
Data on all notifications since 200 is available that may help us understand this behavior. Carrie will forward to Leslie. We will want to know for Staff: Gender, college, age, repeat violators, position, EPA/SPA. For students: Undergrad/grad, Gender, college, class, age, RESNET, repeat violators, trends of when this happens (maybe not first 6 months).
3. Developing an Educational Plan
The group agreed to develop some objectives and outcomes to help guide this process. To be discussed at next meeting.
