Diversity Theme

2002-2003 Theme: Race and Ethnicity

Program Calendar

Each year, the Division of Student Affairs focuses on a different diversity theme, aimed at educating Division employees so that they may better serve the students of NC State University. The Diversity Theme is part of a long-held value in the Division to embrace the diversity of our student and employee populations. The Don Roberts Award is conveyed each year to that individual (or group of individuals) who display significant efforts to combat racism, sexism, homophobia or ablism.

The Professional Growth Committee will provide opportunities for our staff to learn more about this year's theme - "Race and Ethnicity." Likewise, all units are encouraged to find ways to incorporate this theme into their efforts throughout the year. As resources and programs are identified regarding this year's theme, they will be highlighted here and through other means of communication throughout the Division.
