We encourage you to make an appointment online at HealthWeb. Or, you may call 919-515-7107. For Women's Health appointments use HealthWeb or call 919-515-7762.

How do I make an appointment with a Physical Therapist?
A prescription or referral to physical therapy is required prior to treatment.  A prescription can be obtained from a physician at the Student Health Center, your private physician, or a specialist in the community.  The Physical Therapy Department can coordinate this prescription or referral if necessary.

What do I do if Student Health is closed?
For life threatening emergencies, Call 9-1-1 or use a blue light emergency phone located throughout campus or go to the nearest emergency room.*
For non-emergency illnesses, visit community medical facility or access telephone medical advice or the physician on call by dialing 888-267-3675 (during fall and spring semesters only) and follow the instructions.

Do you accept insurance?
At this time we only file insurance under the student medical insurance plan. If you have other insurance, an itemized receipt will be printed for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. You will need to check with your insurance company to see what the plan covers.

How do I pay for services rendered at Student Health?
You may pay at the time of service or the charge will automatically be billed to your student account in two weeks. You will then get an e-bill. Or, you can obtain a receipt from the Student Health cashier to file with your insurance company.

If I put the fee on my student account, will my parents see what the charge is for?
No. The bill will either say miscellaneous, pharmacy or lab/x-ray.

I got a bill from the University Cashier and my daughter did not come to Student Health on that date. Can you explain this and tell me what the fee is for?
The date on the bill is the date it was transferred to the University Cashier, usually two weeks after the visit. Your daughter must give permission to release the information because of privacy laws. She may come to Student Health to get an itemized bill or email us through her unity account to request the form be mailed to you.
