SARS: If You Are Ill

you are not in Raleigh |
If you have
traveled to an area that has a SARS advisory or alert or have
been exposed to someone within the last 10 days confirmed or
suspected with SARS, and are ill with fever or respiratory symptoms,
do not travel and contact a medical provider in your city. |

you are in Raleigh |
If you have traveled to
an area that has a SARS advisory or alert or have been exposed
to someone within the last 10 days confirmed or suspected with
SARS, and are ill with fever or respiratory symptoms, call a
medical provider immediately. To speak with staff at Student
Health Services, call 919.515.2563 and ask to speak with the
nurse supervisor. If there is a high suspicion of SARS, you
may be transported to a local emergency department. |

you think you have SARS |
Call Student Health before
coming. When you arrive you will be given a mask and taken to
a waiting area away from other students. If there is a high
suspicion of SARS, you may be transported to a local emergency
department and receive consultation from the local health department. |
