Special Events

  • This Friday, August 21, please come to a staged reading of Ink, a play written by student Will Stewart. Will was one of our Creative Artist Award winners and this is a special opportunity to see a workshop staging of next spring's performance.

This will be held in the Kennedy-McIlwee Theatre at Thompson Hall at 7:30 p.m.

  • University Theatre is partnering with NC State Libraries for Banned Books week! Banned Books Week, the annual celebration of the freedom to read, will run from September 27 through October 3, 2015, and will be observed in libraries, schools, bookstores and other community settings across the nation and the world. University Theatre students will present excerpts from Young Adult Books that have been banned or challenged in schools and libraries in Titmus Theatre in Thompson Hall on Tuesday, September 29th at 4:00PM. There is no charge for the event.

Students interested in participating in writing and performing or working backstage should contact Mia Self at mlself3@ncsu.edu or Marian Fragola at mgfragol@ncsu.edu. There are limited rehearsals for this performance but students need to be available the evenings of 9/25 and 9/27.

Season tickets are on sale now by phone and in person! Single tickets will be available online August 17. To purchase tickets by phone, call Ticket Central at 919-515-1100.

Summer hours: 1-5 pm daily
