Historic Yates Mill County Park is located in Raleigh, NC, and provides a wonderful opportunity for nature-based tourism in an urban setting. A day at Historic Yates Mill County Park offers visitors an "Escape from the Daily Grind," with unique cultural and environmental experiences that interpret and preserve agricultural heritage, environmental resources and history through educational program, events and exhibits. The park offers a variety of fun and educational events, including public grist mill tours and corn grinding demonstrations, as well as opportunities to explore nature and wildlife throughout the 574-acre park. Historic Yates Mill County Park has free admission and provides a natural respite in the middle of a large urban area, that encourages all people to reconnect with nature, heritage and history.
