Schedule an Appointment

Please be sure to carefully read the Sign-up tutoring policies and procedures below.

  • Before you can schedule a Sign-up appointment online you must have a current tutoring application on file with the UTC office. You may call 919-515-3163 with questions.
  • For each course that the student has requested tutoring in, students may make up to four appointments per week and up to two appointments per day. Apointments are thirty minutes long.
  • Students are expected to arrive on time, to be prepared for the session, to participate actively, and to stay for the entire prearranged session time .
  • Students who need to cancel an appointment must do so by midnight the day before the appointment to avoid a penalty. Cancellations may be made in person (Park Shops 101), via phone (919-515-3163), or via email (tutorialcenter@ncsu.edu). Cancellations after midnight are appreciated and may be made through the UTC office by calling 919-515-3163. Cancellations after midnight will be considered a no show.
  • After two "no shows" students will lose the privilege of making appointments for the rest of the semester.

Appointments may be made via phone (919-515-3163) or in person (Park Shops 101). In general, the office is open Monday - Thursday 9 am - 7 pm; Friday 9 am - 5 pm. Please have your schedule handy when you call.
