Writing and Speaking Tutorial Services provides free, one-on-one tutorials, as well as interactive workshops on common writing and speaking concerns, to all NCSU students. The principles we follow are posted on this site.

If you would like to refer a student to our services to work on specific issues, please complete a referral form . If a student would like to receive help on a take-home exam, we require the following form: take-home exam form .

For both pedagogical and logistical purposes, we request that instructors do not require an entire class to attend either one-on-one tutoring or presentations. We do, however, greatly appreciate instructors who encourage students to visit . Many students are hesitant about using our services, and instructors can provide the encouragement students need to use the available service.

We no longer send conference summaries. If you would like to know that a student visited us, at the student's request, the tutor will write a brief note to the instructor describing the session.
