9. Library/Information Literacy. This requirement is satisfied by completion of ENG 101, which introduce students to basic methods of research using print and electronic resources.
10. Free Electives. Thirty-two credit hours. Electives may be chosen from any university course for which the student qualifies. A maximum of 12 hours may be taken for credit-only (S/U).
11. 200 Level Major Elective Courses . Students in LPS must take three courses (9 hours) among the following LPS major elective courses: PER 201 Persian (taking this course will be either satisfy CHASS foreign language requirement or LPS major elective course requirement, but not both), PER 202 Persian, PHI 250 Practical Reasoning, IDS 201 Environmental Ethics, PHI 221 Contemporary Moral Issues, PS 202 State and Local Government.
12. 300 Level Major Elective Courses . Students in LPS must take two courses (6 hours) among the following LPS major elective courses: PS 301 The Presidency and Congress, PS 310 Public Policy, PS 312 Introduction to Public Administration, PS 314 Science Technology and Public Policy, PS 331 US Foreign Policy, STS 302 Contemporary Science, STS 322 Technology and Human Values, PSY 307 Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
13. 300 or 400 Level Major Elective Courses. Students in LPS must take one course (3 hours) among 300 level LPS major courses that they have not taken before, or one course (3 hours) among the following 400 level LPS major elective courses: HI 453 Latin American Relations, STS 402 Peace and War in the Nuclear Age.
14 . Computer Literacy. This requirement is satisfied by the completion of the required courses category within the major.
15. LPS Major Study : LPS major study courses must be completed with a grade of C- or better.
