6. Advised electives are designed to allow students to concentrate in areas related to their academic goals. Courses used to fulfill this requirement are selected by the students after consultation and approval by their advisers or the Coordinator of Advising.
7. No grades below a C- are permitted.
8. Students choosing CH 499 as the option for the third advanced lab will take 3 hrs of research in each of two semesters and will have one fewer advised electives than choosing CH 444 or CH 454 to fulfill the third advanced lab obligation.
