NC State University is committed to providing access to quality education and support necessary to make students successful. The Advisory CounCil for Enhancing Student Success (ACCESS) seeks to articulate many of the institutional strategies to ensure a culture of connection and academic success for each of student we admit.

ACCESS is an advisory council to the Provost. The Council is administered through the Dean's Office of the Division of Undergraduate Academic Programs.

ACCESS serves as the central advisory structure for institutional retention efforts and is made up of more than 30 members from across colleges and units. The Coordinator for Retention Studies facilitates the council and works closely with the Dean of Undergradute Academic Affairs and a Strategic Planning Team to decide an agenda for the academic year.

Members of ACCESS contribute to a University Student Success Inventory, which functions as a storehouse for institutional efforts affecting the satisfaction, retention, and success of our students. This inventory is updated sporadically as new efforts and initiatives arise.

Questions and comments may be directed to Samara Burnette, Coordinator of Retention Studies, at (919) 515-9768.
