North Carolina State University Handbook for Advising and Teaching

4-2 ADDRESS INFORMATION

The Department of Registration and Records maintains two addresses for each student:

 1. The correspondence address is the address to which grade reports, bills, class schedules, and most other University correspondence are sent. No correspondence is sent to an international address, so the University correspondence address must be within one of the fifty states.

 2. The local address is the address at which the student resides while attending the University and where the student can be reached in an emergency. The address may be used for mailing information during the school year, however, it must not be only an office or post office number.

It is the student's responsibility to notify, either in writing, through the Department of Registration and Records online or by telephone (telephone requests will not be accepted during the first week of classes),  the Department of Registration and Recordsm 1000 Harris Hall, Box 7313, Raleigh, NC, NC  27695-7313 (919-515-2572) of any address change immediately.
