Undergraduate degree students are classified according to the number of
completed credit hours. The required number of hours of each classification
is as follows:
Classification
Credit Hours Earned
Freshman (FR, 01)
Fewer than 30
Sophomore (SO, 02)
30 or more, but less than 60
Junior (JR)
60 or more, but less than 92
Senior (SR)
92 or more
Students classified under the preceding system as SO (or 02) as of the
start of Fall 1995 will retain that classification, regardless of whether
they have attained 30 hours as of the start of Fall 1995.
