4-6.2 GRADE REPORT

The Student Grade Report is the official copy of grades received for course work completed at NC State.  

The Department of Registration and Records provides four methods in which students may gain access to term grades.

Grades are available through TRACS at any time while the TRACS system is open.  Grades are reported within 24 to 48 hours after instructors submit them to University Registrar’s Office. 

Toll Free 1-877-MY GRADE(694-7233)  Grades are provided toll free and are available telephonically during the exam period until approximately two weeks in the next succeeding semester. 

· IN WRITING -  A printed copy of semester grades will be issued only at the written request
   or authorization of the student concerned.  The written request should be submitted after the
   first day of classes, but before the last day of classes, each semester and should include the
   following information: student’s full name, student identification number and correct
   correspondence address.  Requests for printed semester grade reports should be mailed to:
   Department of Registration and Records, P.O. Box 7313, NCSU, Raleigh, NC 27695-7313. 

· IN PERSON  - Students may come in person to the Department of Registration and Records, 1000 Harris Hall, and request a printed copy of grades for their last enrolled term.  The student should see one of the Student Services Representatives and show a picture I.D. to receive grades.  Office hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.  

4-6.1       GRADE POINT AVERAGE 

The Grade Point Average is computed based on the number of credit hours attempted in a semester or summer session (for which grades of A,B,C,D (including plus/minus), or F are received) divided into the total number of grade points earned and ranges between 0 and 4.00.  The Grade Point Average will be calculated to three decimal points.
