8-14.3 CHEMISTRY ALTERNATIVE RESOURCE CENTER

The Department of Chemistry operates an Alternative Resource Center, 120 Dabney Hall, where students can study and receive limited individual assistance. The Center's operating hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Alternative Resource Center contains a small cluster of networked computers. The instructional software is available to students primarily in general chemistry, and--to some extent--organic chemistry. Students should contact their chemistry instructor for specific details. Additionally, many graduate students and faculty hold their office hours in this room in the afternoons. The Alternative Resource Center also houses a walk-in supplemental instruction (SI) facility where students or chemistry faculty are available is posted in 120 Dabney early each semester.
